WHITE DRESS BRIDE - WHITNEY COWAN

It's pretty understandable that we love weddings around here, but we might love vow renewals even more. When couples celebrate their ongoing love and commitment to each other, we get all the warm and fuzzy feelings! It's such a remarkable thing. So, when Whitney was looking for a dress for her vow renewal we were so excited to be able to help her find the perfect Pronovias gown for her special day.

Whitney and her husband, Robert, celebrated 10 years of marriage by renewing their vows in early May of this year at the beautiful and scenic Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, AR.

Whitney looked absolutely STUNNING in her blush A-line Pronovias gown with soft lace overlay.

We are so honored we got to be a part, however small, of this special day for Whitney & Robert. We wish you both many many more years of love and happiness.

WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - ENGAGEMENT RING TRENDS

As with any aspect of weddings, there are trends that come and go and classics that stand the time. Engagement rings are no different. With online retailers and social media, engagement are more easily accessible and more designs are available to purchase or glean inspiration from. While styles like the classic diamond solitaire will never go out of style, there are some interesting new trends coming out this year when it comes to engagement rings, and we've rounded up a few of our favorites.

Distinctive Settings
The setting of a ring has relied on the shape of the stone in the past, but jewelers in recent years have gotten more creative when it comes to settings, even hearkening to the past for inspiration. Whether it's a unique and eye-catching halo surrounding a center stone, a cluster of jewels in an intriguing arrangement, or the influence of the early 20th century, these trends are sure to look stunning on a certain special finger.

  • Unique Halos

  • Clusters

  • Edwardian Inspired

Breathtaking Bands
Along with the settings, there's been a surge of creativity when it comes bands of engagement & wedding rings. Stacking rings - similar to guards - give brides a matching set of rings and is a great way to show personality. Intertwined bands symbolize the beautiful coming together of two lives. A split shank - where the band splits in two as it intersects the center stone - is a modern and sophisticated alternative to a single band.

  • Stacks

  • Intertwined

  • Split Shank

Color Color Color
Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but they are no longer necessary when it comes to choosing an engagement ring. Colored center stones can be a great way to add personality and individuality to a ring (and also a cheaper alternative to diamonds). Adding accent stones that are colorful is also becoming more popular, as is a different color metal to encase the stones in.

  • Colored Center Stones

  • Colored Accents

  • Rose Gold

Does your engagement ring reflect any of these recent trends or is it more of a timeless classic?

WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - LATE NIGHT SNACKS

Has this ever happened to you? You attend a wedding, have a delicious dinner and some cake, then stay and dance the night away and visit with friends and have a great time. Then you leave and realize you are a bit hungry? The dinner and cake have worn off, you hear a little growl from your stomach, and you consider grabbing a quick bite to eat on your way home?

A great way to avoid this situation at your own wedding is to have late night snacks available for your guests. Keep the party going by bringing out savory or sweet (or both) treats about an hour or hour and a half before the reception ends. Guests will leave satisfied and it's a unique way to add a touch of fun to the evening.

There are lots of ways to go with late night snacks, but remember to keep them bite sized, so they're easy for guests to nibble on while they chat, sip cocktails, & dance the night away.

Have a french fry or nacho bar, serve sliders or pretzels, or even have a favorite food truck stop by - there's lots of great ways to serve up tasty snacks!

Does the late night snack trend sound appetizing to you?
