BIG GAME WEDDING INSPIRATION

According to a 2011 poll, 64% of the American public watched NFL football on TV. Taking into account that 114 million people watched the Super Bowl last year alone, that number has probably grown in the last five years. Not to mention, we here in the south love our college football as well.

The things you love make up who you are, and your wedding should reflect who you are. So, if you are one of the millions of people who love football, why not incorporate that love into your wedding in some way?

We've rounded up some ways (both subtle and not-so-much) to show your love for the game or your team(s) on your wedding day.

Engagement Photos
Wear your team colors or jerseys, take photos in the stadium, or play a game for some candid shots. There are lots of possibilities, and it's a great way to show your personalities.

Save the Dates/Invitations
Use some of those engagement photos for a save the date or create a ticket style save the date or invitation.

Accessories
Use your team's ribbon or colors on your garter, or his cuff links. Football themed gifts are also great if the love of the game extends to the wedding party.

Incorporating Team Colors
Use your favorite team's colors as your wedding colors or just use them in a few places, like the guest book or gift table.

Fun Photo Ideas
Have fun with your wedding photographs! Pretend to play a game of touch with your wedding party, or see if you can take some photos in or near the stadium of your favorite team.

Sweet Treats
A cake or cookies are great ways to show your team spirit!

Football Garter Toss
A fun and simple way to throw in a bit of football, is to literally throw a football... with your garter around it.

Shaker Send-Off
Have your guests shake shake shake you both off into happily ever after.
