WEDDING TREND TUESDAY: FAMILY-STYLE DINING

Similar to a sit-down dinner, a family-style reception has guests seated at larger dinner tables. Waiters bring large portions of the dinner offerings, which are placed on each table on serving platters for guests to fill their own plates (it's just like sitting down for dinner at home with your family!).

Similar to buffets, family-style meals are typically less expensive than their plated counter parts. They are also a great middle ground between the more casual buffet dining, and the more formal dinner, where each guest is served individually. Family-style dining creates a relaxed, warm atmosphere, where guests can help themselves to as much food as they'd like while engaging in conversation around the table.
