WHITE DRESS BRIDE - HANNAH ASAFO-ADJEI

We here at The White Dress Boutique like to look at wedding dresses as something similar to a cake topper... it's just a finishing touch to add to something already beautiful to give it that little something extra for a special occasion. Every bride that comes in our door is beautiful just as she is, but that perfect dress is just the right thing to set her apart on one of the most meaningful days of her life. Sure, wedding dresses are gorgeous, but they are just accentuating the natural loveliness of the woman wearing them.

Case in point, Hannah, whose Justin Alexander dress was stunning on the hanger, but once she put it on...

Just gorgeous! It also doesn't hurt that her photographer, Rafferty Photo did an absolutely stunning job capturing the day.

We love the sleeves and beaded detail on this dress, and it just suited Hannah so well. It was like they were made for each other. And speaking of being made for each other, take a look at Hannah and her husband, Miles, on their wedding day:

Come on! So happy, so in love... ready to start their new life together. No dress in the world could compare to the beauty of true love.

Congratulations to Hannah and Miles! We wish you all the love and happiness and are so honored to have been a part your special day.

WHITE DRESS BRIDE - SHELBY DAVIS LAROUSSE

Nothing helps cure the mid-week blues like a beautiful bride on her special day. Luckily for us, we have Shelby Davis Larousse to help get us to the weekend with these gorgeous photos from her October wedding.

Shelby and her husband, Trey, are obviously so in love and they looked so happy to be joining their lives together.

Shelby's lace dress from Justin Alexander was perfect for her rustic barn wedding. Just look at this back:

GORGEOUS! Shelby was such a beautiful bride. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your very big day!

WHITE DRESS BRIDE - NAWON LOSLI

This may sound a little odd, but bear with me... You know those older couples you see walking and holding hands that you know are just as in love with each other as they were when they first fell for each other? Well, I have a feeling that Nawon and her husband, Cole will be that older couple in about 50 years.

See what I mean? You can almost feel the love between these two.

Nawon was so sweet and charming and a pleasure to work with. We love the Justin Alexander gown she ended up with and the lace jacket she chose is the perfect compliment!

You looked absolutely stunning on your big day, Nawon! Thank you for letting us play a small part in such an important time of your life.

Congratulations to Nawon and Cole! We hope your lives are full of love and happiness and we'll be watching for you strolling along together in 50 years or so - just as in love as you are in these photos.

WHITE DRESS BRIDE - WHITNEY COWAN

It's pretty understandable that we love weddings around here, but we might love vow renewals even more. When couples celebrate their ongoing love and commitment to each other, we get all the warm and fuzzy feelings! It's such a remarkable thing. So, when Whitney was looking for a dress for her vow renewal we were so excited to be able to help her find the perfect Pronovias gown for her special day.

Whitney and her husband, Robert, celebrated 10 years of marriage by renewing their vows in early May of this year at the beautiful and scenic Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, AR.

Whitney looked absolutely STUNNING in her blush A-line Pronovias gown with soft lace overlay.

We are so honored we got to be a part, however small, of this special day for Whitney & Robert. We wish you both many many more years of love and happiness.

WHITE DRESS BRIDE - CLAIRE LEWIS

We have another beautiful bride to share with you! Claire Lewis looked just stunning in her Lillian West gown.

Claire is a gorgeous woman inside and out and we love how happy she and her new husband, Chris, looked on their wedding day.

We also helped Claire's lovely mom, Glenda, find her Mother of the Bride dress from Sorella Vita. She looked just stunning in the burgundy dress they picked out - it was perfect for a fall wedding!

WHITE DRESS BRIDES - CARLEY & ELISE

This is a doubly exciting White Dress Bride post because both of these absolutely beautiful brides found their dream dress here at The White Dress Boutique. Carley & Elise are two of the kindest and most fun ladies you could meet and they are so in love and care deeply about each other. It was so fun helping both of them find their perfect dress for their perfect day, and we are so glad we could be a part of it!

Carley's Pronovias dress featured soft lace and a tulle layer underneath that peeked out of the bottom on the front. The bodice of her dress had a V-neckline and elegant scoop back that were both embellished with gemstones. Elise's Enzoani sheath dress had an all-over delicate lace pattern and sheer coverage on the front and back of the bodice. We also customized Elise's veil by hand stitching the same lace from her dress onto the edge of a fingertip length English net veil.

Congratulations to these two lovely ladies! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness, Carley & Elise! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.

WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - CIRCULAR SEATING

We here at The White Dress Boutique have seen a lot of weddings and we love new and interesting ideas and ways of breaking the traditional wedding "mold". That's one of the reasons why we love what we've been seeing the past few years when it comes to ceremony seating. More and more couples are veering away from having chairs and seats in rows and arranging them in circles and semi circles instead.

Now, you may not think this is such an exciting or interesting topic, but just wait until you take a look at some of these photos of weddings that have arranged their ceremony seating in circles.

Wedding Chicks

Arranging your seating like this allows all of your guests to have a killer view of the ceremony. They are less likely to have someone directly in front of them since you can more easily stagger without it looking off kilter. It is also easier to get more family members closer to the "action" so to speak, and people can more easily see your faces as you say your vows instead of your backs.

We also love this trend because it allows the happy couple to be literally surrounded by love and happiness. To be able to have your friends and family from a literal ring around is such a neat idea and allows you to see all of your guests' smiling faces while you marry the love of your life. So cool!

Obviously, this style of ceremony seating may not be an option for you at your wedding venue, but if there is some freedom there, consider circular or semi-circular seating as a happy alternative to rows.

WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - MISMATCHED BRIDESMAIDS

Every bride needs her best girls by her side on her big day. They have stood by you through thick and thin, so it only makes sense that they stand by you on one of the most special days of your life. Bridesmaids (and bridesmen) are your very best friends in the world. That is probably the reason more and more brides are letting their bridesmaids' individuality shine when it comes to choosing their dresses for the wedding.

 Essence Designs                                                                               Aisle Perfect

There are several ways to let each of your bridesmaids feel comfortable in their dress. You can choose one fabric and color, and then let each woman choose the style of dress they feel most beautiful in, like in the pictures above. You can also choose the same style of dress, but vary the color, print, or fabric that each girl wears. This is a great way to incorporate different shades of the same color or more colors and prints into your wedding palette.

You can also mix and match fabric textures, like lace and sequined or beaded dresses.

Tulle & Chantilly                                                                                     Tulle & Chantilly

Finally, you can give your bridesmaids even more freedom by letting them choose for themselves exactly what they want. Give them some guidelines to work from, like a color palette, theme, or specific fabric you want and then let them find their own dress. Or, make it a fun pre-wedding event and have a shopping day where you go with them to try on some dresses at different stores and let each girl find a dress they love.

No matter what you decide to have your bridesmaids wear, make sure they all feel beautiful as they stand beside you. They will feel honored to be a part of your wedding and will want to make the day everything you ever dreamed, no matter what they are wearing, but letting them have a say in that decision might go a long way.
