WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - DUSTY ROSE

Choosing your wedding colors can be a daunting task. You want to reflect your personal style and tastes while also encompassing the theme or ideas you have for your big day. Sometimes it can be helpful to start with a neutral and blend accent colors that you love. Enter Dusty Rose....

One of the hottest colors of 2017, dusty rose is like rose gold's non-metallic cousin. This muted pink shade is a great neutral and can be paired with jewel tones like navy and emerald or with softer colors like blues and grays. It also is a very flattering color on many skin tones, so would be a fantastic choice for your bridesmaids.

This lovely, soft hue would be perfect for a vintage wedding, a rustic wedding, or a more elegant soiree. It really is a perfect option for a lot of brides. Would you consider adding dusty rose to your wedding color palette?

WEDDING TREND TUESDAY - PANTONE'S COLOR OF THE YEAR

For those that don't know, Pantone is a standardized color matching system, utilizing a numbering system for identifying colors. Each year, Pantone chooses a color of the year which the Pantone website explains as "a symbolic color selection ... of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude."

The Color of the Year for 2017 is Greenery. About the choice, Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute said, "Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and a larger purpose."

We love that this is the Color of the Year for many reasons. Green is "nature's neutral", and in addition to being a symbol for life, growth and renewal, it is also associated with relaxation, stability, and hope. Green is a fantastic color to incorporate into your wedding color palate & the different shades of the hue can blend seamlessly with most themes and motifs. More natural elements have been popular in weddings the last year or two, and we are thrilled to see this trend continue.

Feast your eyes on all the green-spiration below for ideas on how to incorporate Greenery into your big day!
