1. You won't eat much.
    Nerves, getting ready, chatting with guests... other things will more than likely take priority.

2. Something will go wrong...
    It's inevitable. Don't fight it. Just prepare as much as possible and take it as it comes. 

3. ...But you won't really care.
    You have more important things to focus on... like marrying the love of your life.

4. You will be nervous...
    Some anxious butterflies are to be expected.

5. ... But also strangely calm.
    Just relax as much as possible and enjoy the day.

6. You'll secretly love the attention.
    It's your day - enjoy. Have your Beyonce moment. 

7. Tears will flow.
    Maybe you'll cry, or your spouse, or your parents, or the officiant... someone will cry.

8. Your cheeks will hurt.
    All the smiling will take it's toll, but it's worth it.

9. At some point, it will hit you that you have a husband/wife now.
    Super weird and super awesome.

10. You'll have a blast. 
      Enjoy. Live it up. Bask in the wedding glory.

11. The day will fly by.
      It will seem to move at the speed of light.

12. You'll be glad, but also quite sad it's all over. 
      You're relieved to be free from all the planning, but will strangely miss it all.

It happened. You are engaged and couldn't be more excited! 

Amidst all the other wedding planning, you've been perusing Pinterest and bridal magazines looking at all kinds of dresses and trying to figure out what you like, don't like, and what will look best on you. 

With an idea of what you may be looking for, you gather those closest to you and head to the bridal shop. 

It's finally time to shop for your wedding gown, and the prospect of trying on lots of beautiful dresses can be quite exciting. 

You choose some dresses to try on and then realize you have to be mostly naked in front of a complete stranger. You cringe for a moment at the awkwardness, but then realize it's their job and they don't care, so you don't either. 

You put on your first wedding dress and it hits you that this is really happening: you are getting married!

As you try on dresses, you find out what works and what does not. Sometimes you'll be surprised by what you like. 

Sometimes your entourage may get very opinionated and inundate you with comments and critiques. Just remember that this is your special day, and yours is the opinion that matters most in the end. If you feel beautiful, everyone else will love the dress you choose. 

You may have to try on several dresses (sometimes at multiple shops) to find the one that is just right for you, but don't get discouraged or overwhelmed. Your perfect dress is out there! 

And then, magically, it happens... You try on the one. It's the perfect dress and you love it. You've found your wedding dress! 

The only thing left to do is to walk down the aisle, looking absolutely stunning, & marry the love of your life.
